A construction worker was killed after falling from the platform of the third floor of an under construction building at Karimkutir area of the city on Friday.
The victim was identified as Kabir Hossain, 40, father of 2 daughters and a son from Chandipur of Karapur under Barisal Sadar Sadder upazila, police and hospital sources said.
Construction contractor Shahin said, Kabir while working with three others on a platform of a four storied building of Jhantu Mia at Karim Kutir Forester Bari lane, falls on ground and injured at about 9:50 AM Friday.
He was rushed to Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital immediately, but attending physician at emergency ward declared him as dead.
