A worker died falling from a seven-storey under- construction building at Nayahat Bank Colony of city’s EPZ area on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sumon Barua, 36, son of Upali Barua of Dighinala in Khagrachhari district.
Quoting local people, Hamidur Rahman, nayek of Chittagong Medical College Hospital Police camp, said Sumon fell while working on a bamboo scaffolding on the seventh floor of the building around 10 am.
He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
