A worker named Md. Al Amin (25) died after being electrocuted while working to connect a rural power line in Baufale of Patuakhali.The incident took place in Charnimadi area of Chandradwip Union around 10:30 am on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Al Amin, son of Somed Hossain of Uttar Talgachhia village in Jhalokati district.
It is learned that the worker Md. Al Amin was electrocuted while working on the pole number 7 of the power line in Charnimadi area of Chandradwip Union that morning and died on the spot.
Deputy General Manager (DGM) of PalliBidyutBaufal Zonal Office Md Sohrab Hasan told reporters, “I know the incident later, the contractor company did not even inform us about the power outage on that line. If I had informed, this accident might not have happened. ‘
