Former student leader Jamir Uddin Parvez, president of Raozan Upazila Juba League and current panel mayor-2, is leading the party in the upcoming Raozan pourashava elections.
In the meantime, he is holding a series of exchange of views in the areas of different wards of the poura area .. He continues to try to win the confidence of ordinary voters by attending various social and religious events.
It is learned that Jamir Uddin Parvez was attacked and sued at different times after joining the politics of Bangladesh Chhatra League during his student life. Raozan has contributed to the Upazila Awami family by serving as the president of Raozan College Chhatra League, president of Upazila Chhatra League and vice-president of Chittagong North District Chhatra League during the difficult times of Parvez’s which emerged from the grassroots level.
The former student leader, who was repeatedly tortured by political opponents, has returned from the brink of death after being shot twice. Parvez, who has overcome many obstacles in his political life, is currently an executive member of Raozan Upazila Awami League, president of Upazila Awami Juba League and panel mayor of Raozan Pourashava. He won three consequetive terms as councilor of Raozan Pourashava. .
He achieved three consecutive national awards from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for his special contribution in the field of tree planting and education. Jamir Uddin Parvez is playing a role in various developmental and humanitarian activities of ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Member of Parliament from Raozan and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Railways.
In particular, he was instrumental in distributing relief to countless people in the Corona epidemic, burying the dead, assisting in isolation centers, and providing seheri food to doctors during the month of Ramadan.
Asked about the Raozan poura election, Jamir Uddin Parvez said, “I have been working as a party worker for a long time starting from my student life.” I have worked shoulder to shoulder with the people under the direction of the present Member of Parliament of Raozan.
If Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina nominates me as the ‘boat’ symbol from the party in the upcoming Raozan poura election, I will continue to serve the people at the highest level in the belief of building the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu’s dream.
Jamir Uddin Parvez also promised to transform Raozan Pourashava into a clean, model and modern pourashava across the country.
