Textile and Jute Minister Imaz Uddin Pramanik said the initiatives of the present government towards attaining the status of middle income country is progressing fast.
He urged the people to assist and support the initiatives of the government to make them successful.
The minister was speaking at a discussion meeting on Friday at Boropei village in Manda Upazila here.
Manda Upazila Awami League President Emdadul Huq Mollah, vice president Brohani Sultan Mahmud Gama, general secretary S M Jasimuddin and Muktijodha Commander Afsar Ali also spoke on the occasion with local Awami League leader M Aminul Islam in the chair.
Imaz Uddin said activities of few political parties are barring the country’s development although the government is working hard for the country’s progress.
The minister requested the people to be united to foil the anti country activities of those political parties.
