The workers of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) Wednesday observed a daylong strike demanding implementation of the National Pay Scale-2015 and job regularization.
IDRA Employee’s Association issued warned of indefinite work stoppage from the 9th January unless their 7 point demands are not are met.
Tania Afrin, President of the association told the New Nation, “We will wait till January 8. If we do not get any green signal within this time, we will go on strike from January 9. Then we will wait for one week.”
“If our demands are not met within the period, we will again cease from work for a long period,” she said.
Sources said, the jobs of IDRA employees are not permanent form its inception. Besides, their salaries are also irregular. They did not yet get salary of the month of December 2016.
