The newly elected Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday called upon the party men to forge unity and work more for the people to gain support from the voters for the next general election.
Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, came up with the call at a rally at Eliotganj Bazar organised by Comilla North AL Unit in the morning.
“Go to the doorsteps of voters to convince them to vote for Awami League in the next national election,” he said.
“Forget whatever happened in the past and be united to march ahead,” Obaidul urged the local AL men.
He also warned his party men of stern actions if they create any anarchy and destabilise law and order situation.
