Bangladesh Police takes on Bangladesh Ansar in final of the Walton 1st national women’s softball competition scheduled to be held today (Saturday) at Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in the capital.
The match will begin at 8 am, a press release said.
On way to the final on Friday, Bangladesh Police beat SKSP Sirajganj by 25-08 points in the first semi-final while Bangladesh Ansar defeated Dhaka District Sports Association by 13-03 points in the second semis.
Walton Group operative director (head of games and sports) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar will be present in the final as the chief guest and will distribute prizes.
A total of eight teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the competition, sponsored by Walton Group and organised by Bangladesh Baseball Softball Association.
Participating teams: Group A – Bangladesh Police, Narail, Gazipur and Dhaka District
Group B – Bangladesh Ansar, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, SKSP Sirajganj and Dhaka Commerce College.
