Women urged to work together for country’s development

Chairman of Standing Committee on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Waseqa Ayesha Khan, MP, on Friday urged all women to work together for the development of the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
 “Women have to work unitedly for taking the country forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” she said.
Waseqa, also Awami League (AL)’s Finance and Planning Secretary, came up with the call while addressing the inaugural function of ‘Ullapara Upazila Mohila Awami League Triennial Conference-2021’ as the chief guest in Sirajganj district.
Lauding the premier for establishing women empowerment, she said the present government has made arrangements for information technology based training along with timely multi-faceted steps for the advancement of women.
The government has also implemented many more measures including establishing community clinics to ensure the safety of women, children and maternal health, she added.
With Ullapara Upazila Mohila Awami League President Kamrunnahar Alo in the chair, the programme was addressed, among others, by lawmaker Tanveer Imam.
Ullapara Upazila Mohila Awami League General Secretary Ribli Islam Kobita conducted the programme.
