Women leader Nomita Barua dies

Women’s leader and founder president of Bangladesh Mohila Porishad of Raojan Upazila committee Nomita Barua died at a hospital at Boston in United State of America (USA). She was 86. Nomita Barua was the wife of Late Dr Shakkya Mitra Barua.
 She was the eminent women’s leader in Chittagong and contributed for left leaning politics in her life time. She gave shelters to freedom fighters during the liberation war in 1971. Journalist Tapos Barua, son of Nomita Barua said his mother died at a hospital at Boston in United State of America (USA).
The body of his mother will reach Chittagong on January 9. The body was preserved at the Nandan Kanon Buddhist Temple for offering respect to her. Later, on January 11 next, cremation will be held at Bagoan under Raojan upazila in Chittagong.
 President and General Secretary of CPB Chittagong district committee comrade Shah Alam and comrade Ashok Shaha expressed deep shock at the death of Nomita Barua.
