Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Mohammad Mominur Rahman said, “Women are now established in all professions with proof of their sincerity and relentless efforts.”
He made the remarks at a discussion on International Women’s Day organized by the district administration, in the office of the Deputy Director of Women’s Affairs and the National Women’s Organization at the District Children’s Academy auditorium on Monday last.
Mohammad Mominur Rahman said equal participation of all men and women is essential to achieve SDG by 2040 and build a prosperous Bangladesh of Bangabandhu’s dream of happiness and prosperity by 2041.
He said that in order to ensure 100% empowerment of women, all concerned should come forward to prevent violence against women, violence against women and children, eve-teasing and child marriage.
If women become self-reliant along with men, injustice will be removed from the society.
The Deputy Commissioner said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, is a successful woman and a role model to the world for the development of women’s society.
Holding her hand, Bangladesh is moving forward at an indomitable pace.
Madhabi Barua, Deputy Director, Department of Women’s Affairs, Chittagong, gave a welcome address at the discussion meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) SM Zakaria and conducted by Program Officer Salma Parveen.
