Women contributing to speeding up national development stressed

The women are contributing laudably to speeding up national development and building a peaceful society free form militancy, terrorism and gender disparity side by side with establishing their equal rights.
The opinion came at a woman rally held at Mekura Islamia Bilateral Fazil Madrasha here in the city yesterday .
The District Information Office organised the rally to inform the women about successes of the government, future development plans, Prime Minister’s 10 special initiatives, preventing militancy and terrorism.
More than 300 adolescents, female students, housewives, community
leaders, public representatives, professionals, religious leaders and local elite participated in the rally.
With Sadar Upazila Secondary Education Officer Abu Sayeed Md Abdul Wahid in the chair, Senior District Information Officer Humayun Kobir attended the rally as the chief guest.
Principal of the Madrasha Alhaj Muhammad Al-Amin, Vice-president of its governing body Hossain Ali, Lecturers Fatima Begum (Biology) and Zakia Akhter (Mathematics) addressed as special guests.
Humayun Kobir delivered presentation narrating about tremendous
successes achieved by the present government in education, health, women development, poverty alleviation, digitisation, power and other sectors and future development plans.
He discussed about progress of implementation of the ten special
initiatives of the Prime Minsiter and successes achieved in preventing child marriage, ensuring health services, sanitation, breast feeding and vaccination of babies and hygiene of adolescents. “Re-launching and revitalisation of the community clinics are reaching cost free health services to rural people at their doorsteps and education assistance programme is promoting female education for development of children and women,” Humayun said.
Principal Al-Amin said the extent of gender discrimination; social curses and inequality among the communities have marked reduction following successful implementation of various government programmes during the past nine years.
Abu Sayeed Md Abdul Wahid said the present government puts maximum importance on development of the womenfolk to ensure their active equal participations in building a middle income nation by 2021 and developed country by 2041, reports BSS, Rangpur .
