A woman seriously burnt her ex-husband pouring hot water on his body when he was sleeping in his residence at dawn on Monday. The sad indecent took placed at Rupnagar, Mirpur, Dhaka.
The injured has been identified as Moktar Hossain, 38, a garment fabric trader and an inhabitant of Narayanganj.
He is now undergoing treatment at
Dhaka Medical College and Hospital’s (DMCH) burn unit.
Quoting the victim’s relatives, DMCH Police Outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Mozammal Haque said that Moktar’s former wife, Josna Begum went to his residence at about 10:00pm on Sunday for meeting with their children. Josna slept with her children at night, and Moktar slept in another room.
Moktar claimed that Josna poured hot water on his face and body at about 4:00am on Monday. Josna managed to flee the spot.
