Being locally informed, Police entered the house by
breaking the door and found the blood-stained bodies of Punno and son, while injured Bittu was lying nearby. Cut mark was found in his throat.
According to Bittu’s uncle Shuvash and cousin Shwapan, Punno belonged to a Muslim family. They got married without the concent of their families about two years ago. As Bittu’s family did not accept the marriage, the man along with his wife and son was staying Atharokhada village.
Superintendent of Magura Police Khan Muhammad Rezwan said that initially it was assumed that they might have been going through conjugal feud as Bittu’s family did not accept the marriage.
As a sequel, Bittu killed his wife and son and, later, tried to commit suicide, the SP said.
