A dumb woman was shoved out of a bus in Keraniganj upazila of Dhaka District on Sunday after she failed to pay the fare.
The video of the incident that took place at Rohitpur of the Keraniganj area has already gone viral on the internet.
The video shows that a woman was shoved out of the N Mollik bus (Dhaka Metro B-13-1521) – which runs on the Gulistan-Nawabganj route – and she fell face down on the ground.
The woman told the people to present thereby writing that no bus takes fair from her but N Mollik demanded fair. Since I had no money I could not pay the fare and they pushed me off the bus.
Kazi Mainul Islam, officer-in-charge of Keraniganj Police Station, told The Business Standard that he came to know about the incident through social media. The police are investigating the matter but yet to trace the bus.
However, the driver and helper of the bus have already been identified. The driver was Sobuj Mia and the helper was Hasan.
