Police recovered the bodies of a woman and her six-year-old minor son who were allegedly stabbed to death by some unidentified miscreants in Saturia upazila of Manikganj early Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Parvin Begum, 26, wife of one Mojnu Mia, an expatriate living in Saudi Arabia and her son Abdur Nur, 6.
Being informed by the relatives, a law enforcement team rushed to the
spot at Uttar Kaunnara village early hours and recovered the bodies from their house, said Saturia Police Station Inspector Abul Kalam Azad.
“It’s a pre-planned murder. Extra-marital affairs might be an issue behind the murder,” the Inspector said.
Matiur Rahman, Office-in-Charge of Saturia Police Station confirmed the news to the media that the victims were killed at some hours on Wednesday night. Their bodies had sign of stabbing.
The bodies were sent to the morgue for autopsies, OC added.
