The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday placed three youths on a four-day remand each in a case filed over lynching Taslima Begum Renu to death labeling her as a child-lifter in the capital’s Uttar Badda.
Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondal of the CMM Court passed the order on Monday after hearing the case.
Earlier, Badda Police produced the accused in the court and headed for a 10-day remand for each of the accused. The youths were Bachchu, Bappi and Shahin.
Meanwhile, it was learnt that other accused Jafor gave confessional statement about the incident in a court. Later, he was sent to the jail.
Jafor, Bappi and Shahin were arrested around 9:30pm on Sunday. Later, Bachchu was nabbed.
On July 20, Renu was lynched to death in mob-beating as a child-lifter in front of Uttar Badda Government Primary School.
