A woman was killed as a wall of their earthen house collapsed on her at Putibila village under Moheshkhali Municipality here on Monday dawn. At that time, her husband was also injured.
The deceased was identified as Ruby Akter, 25, wife of Khairul Kabir of the village. Officer-in-Charge (OC/Investigation) of Moheshkhali Police Station Didarul Alam Ferdous said as usual Khairul along with his family members went to sleep at night. Sometime at night, a wall of the house fell on them, leaving Ruby Akter dead on the spot.
Hearing their scream, neighbours rescued the injured and rushed Khairul to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital. From there, he was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
The body of the deceased was kept at the house.
