A 35-year-old unidentified woman was killed and ten others were injured in a road accident in front of Prantik gate of Jahangirnagar University on Friday.Quoting eyewitnesses police said the accident occurred when a Manikganj-bound bus of ‘Janasheba Paribahan’ overturned after hitting a roadside tree as the driver lost control over the steering at about 2.30pm, leaving one person dead on the spot and 10 others injured.
The injured were admitted to Gana Swasthya Hospital and Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar.
Officer-in-Charge of Ashulia Thana Sheikh Badrul Alam said they recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.
However, the driver of the killer bus managed to flee away from the spot, the OC added.
