An unidentified woman aged about 30 years died as an unknown vehicle ran over her in capital’s Bijoy Sarani area in the early hours of Monday.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohsin of Kafrul Police Station told BSS that police recovered the blood-stained body from the street in front of Bijoy Sarani’s Military Museum.
“The deceased identity could not be known immediately. She was dressed in only a torn kamij (shirt),” he said at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the body was kept for autopsy.
Police, quoting locals, said she was somehow mentally disturbed.
An unnatural death case was lodged with Kafrul Police station in this connection.
