A housewife was beaten to death by her husband for dowry at Naghosha village in Shalikha upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Sabina Khatun, 20, wife of Khalid

Family members of deceased Sabina said Dalim has been torturing for a dowry of Tk 2 lakh from her parents since their marriage five years back.
As a sequel, a quarrel took place between them on Thursday night when Dalim beat up Sabina, leaving her dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Magura Hospital for autopsy.
Shalikha Police Station officer in-charge Biplob Kimar Nath confirmed the incident.
Dalim went into hiding after the incident.
