Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged female drug peddler along with 800 pieces of Yaba tablet from Dighirpar area here on Wednesday morning.
The arrestee was identified as Rekha Khatun,35, wife of Asadul, a resident of the area.
Major Liakot, deputy commander of BGB Battalion-26, said tipped off, a team of the border force conducted a raid on the house of Asadul at about 7.00am.
Later, the border force arrested Rekha while his husband Asadul managed to flee the scene.
BGB members also recovered 800 pieces of Yaba tablet after searching the house.
