Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a woman with 1.7kg heroin from Pallabi area in Dhaka early Friday.
Identified as Anowari, 40, the woman is allegedly an infamous drug lord of Mirpur area, claimed RAB.
RAB-4 Operation Officer, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury confirmed the matter on Friday.
He said, acting on a tip-off, a RAB team conducted a raid in Millat camp, under
the jurisdiction of Pallabi police station area, around 12:10am on Friday and arrested Anowari.
RAB also recovered 1.7kg of heroin, Tk2,36,285 in reportedly drug money, and two mobile phones from her possession, he said.

Preliminary interrogation of the suspect revealed that she had been collecting illegal heroin from different parts of the country for a long time and selling it to drug dealers in different areas of the capital, including Pallabi, he added.
The RAB official said that there are several cases against Anowari in different police stations, including four drug related cases in Pallabi police station.
At one stage during the interrogation she admitted to being a drug lord, he added.
