Police arrested a woman for her alleged involvement in the killing of local Jubo League leader Sujon from Boigramv village in Hakimpur upazila on Saturday night.
The arrested was identified as Nurjahan Begum,45, wife of Gias Uddin, a resident of the village.
Officer-in-charge of Hakimpur police station Abdus Sabur said tipped off, a team of police conducted a raid on the house of Nurjahan Begum in the area and arrested her at about 8:30pm.
Abu Hayat Mohammad Badiuzzaman Sujon,30, president of the Boaldah union unit of Jubo League and son of late Selim Master of the village, was killed in a clash over ownership of a pond at the village on Saturday morning.
