Law enforcers at last arrested the woman who cut down plants of rooftop garden belonging to one Sumaiya Habib on the CRP Road in Savar on Wednesday noon.
The convict was identified as Khaleda Akhter Lucky, 45, wife of one Selim Miah.
Noor Mohammad Khan, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Savar Police Station said that legal action against Lucky was underway.
After the video went viral on social media, including Facebook, showing Lucky to cut plants
randomly on Tuesday evening, drawing criticism.
Many people questioned Lucky’s attitude for creating disputes in this way.
Victim Sumaiya Habib told the media that Lucky had been felling all the plants in the rooftop garden of her mother. Lucky did not stop even after garden owner was crying.
Lucky with her son and his friends attempted to hit Sumaiya at one stage of obstruction.
On the other hand, police claimed that Lucky was perhaps a mentally imbalanced person.
Meanwhile an organization based on Environment provided around 100 tree plants to the victim on Wednesday.
Ahsan Rony, Founder President of Green Savar, presented plants to the victim on Wednesday in order to console and rebuild her.
