A court in Kishoreganj has sentenced a woman to death and another to life term imprisonment in a school boy murder case filed in 2012.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Abdur Rahim pronounced the verdict on Sunday afternoon.
Juyena Akter was awarded the death penalty and Rina Akter was given life term in prison.
They were also fined Tk 1 lakh each.
As another accused Russell is minor, the case is pending in Juvenile court.
The convicts beat Tofayel, a class VIII student, to death with stick in Batrish area of Sadar upazila on March 10, 2012, following an altercation.
Deceased’s father Awlad Hossain filed a murder case with Sadar Police Station the following day in this connection.
