Police recovered the body of a woman from a paddy field at Telkupi village in Sadar upazila on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Faima Begum, 32, a resident of the village.
She went missing from her room since the last night, said Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
Local people spotted the body of Faima lying on a paddy field in the village in the morning and informed the police.
Later, police went to the spot and recovered the body. She might have been strangulated to death, added the OC.
