A woman riding pillion died after she fell off her son’s bike in Sadar upazila of Magura district Wednesday evening, police said Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Beauty Khatun, 38, wife of Morshed Ali, a resident of Nishchintapur village of the upazila.
Monjurul Alam, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, said the accident occurred around 6pm on Wednesday when she fell off the bike as her son was negotiating a speed breaker at a high speed.
A critically injured Beauty was rushed to Magura Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared her dead around 7.30pm.
OC Monjurul said the woman’s body was handed over to her family. “A case has been filed in this regard,” he added.
