Pahartali thana police of CMP rounded up one woman drug peddler from infront of BRTC bus counter of Alankar crossing in city on Friday last. (45) On searching the body of the drug peddler recovered 2000 pieces of yaba worth about Tk.6 lakh from her possession.
The detained was identified as Momtaz Begumne, wife of late Forkan Ahmed who hails from Gunagari of Banskhali upazila. Pahartali thana police in-charge Ranjit Barua told that acting on secret information, police conducted raid in bus counter area and caught her along with intoxicated drugs. A case in connection under narcotics act lodge d with the Pahartali thana, sources said.
