A woman died falling from a running motorbike in Habiganj on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Meherun Nessa, 47, wife of Md Shamsuzzaman, resident of Rajnagar area in Habiganj district town, the police said.
Local people said that Meherun Nessa was returning her house from her parents’ house at Chunarughat upazila in Habiganj riding pillion his son, Saami Ahmad’s, motorcycle.
The victim fell from the running motorcycle in Kalimnagar area of the district town and sustained critical injuries in her head.
Habiganj sadar police officer-in-charge Shahidur Rahman told that local people took the victim to Habiganj Sadar Adhunik Hospital where on-duty doctors declared her dead.
‘The body was handed over to the family without post-mortem examination as no complaint was filed in this regard,’ the police officer said.
