A woman was crushed under the wheels of a truck in the district town on Sunday morning.
Deceased Krishna Rani Das, 55, was the wife of Babul Das, a resident of Roangchhari Bus Station area.
Witnesses said a stone-laden truck ran over Krishna around 11am when she was standing in front of Purubi Hotel, leaving her dead on the spot. The body was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue.
Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Golam Sarwar said they seized the truck, but its driver managed to flee the scene.
