Woman burnt in mysterious fire dies at DMCH

A woman died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday morning, a day after she was burnt in a mysterious fire near the Airport Railway Station in Dhaka.
Police rescued the 40-year-old woman in a critical condition from a bush near the station around 2 am on Saturday and admitted her to Burn Unit of DMCH where she breathed her last around 9:30am yesterday.
Before her death, she told the police that she was
sleeping at her house in Fatullah of Narayanganj from where a Jinn brought her to the spot and set her on fire, said Nur-e-Azam, Officer-in-Charge of the Airport Police Station.
After her admission to the hospital, the woman identified herself as the widow of one Abul Kalam Azad hailing from Kashipur of Fatullah in Narayanganj district, and concluded as saying that she was working as a housemaid.
Police went to the address, specified by her, but could not find anybody there, according to the OC.
The police have not taken any case in connection with this incident, the OC told the media adding that they had not found any evidence related to the fire on the spot.
