Police have recovered the body of a woman named Farazana Akhter Munni, 22, from a residence in Sylhet city’s Amber Khana area on Wednesday.
Munni used to work as a housemaid at the Shuvehcha-8 home in the area.
Police recovered her body and sent her to a hospital morgue on Wednesday morning. Munni is the daughter of Abdul Mannan of Sunamganj.It is reported that Farzana Akter Munni munni has been working as a housemaid for almost two years in the home of Aftabuddin in Amberkhana area. Munni fell asleep in her room at around 1am on Tuesday night.On Wednesday morning, she did not wake up and called other people in the house.Later informed the police.
Officer-in-charge of the Sylhet City Police Station (OC) Shahadat Hossain said police went to the spot and recovered the hanging body of Munni at around 10 am.The body was sent to the morgue of Osmani Hospital.The OC said police had learned that Munni’s family had arranged her marriage a few days ago.She was taken home. But her marriage broke down.
