Without level playing field election would not be allowed: Fakhrul

Mirza Fakhrul Islam, secretary general of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Tuesday said that without making the field level playing, conducting general election would not be allowed.
Addressing as chief guest of the starting of member-collection programme of the party at Barisal Ashwini Kumar Hall, the BNP SG added that BNP chairperson accused in 34 case lodged against her. So election could not be possible when the BNP leaders and activists would be forced to roaming at the balcony of the court, but the you (the AL activists) will conduct election flying on helicopter. The AL led government planning to conduct election under their government formed by a voter-less non participatory election of January 5, 2014. So they even not hesitated in rigging and corruption in recent local government elections.
The programme was presided over by city BNP president and joint secretary general Mojibor Rahman Sarwar and addressed by the leaders of the party and front organisations.
Mirza Fakhrul further said not the BNP leaders, but the leaders of AL flee from the country. Ruling AL led government abducting the freedom of speech from the people, barring public meeting, procession and other activities of BNP. But this time it could not be allowed.
