UNB, Dhaka :The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on Saturday urged the parties concerned to withdraw hartal called for Sunday so that the countries economic activities remain unhurt.”Any negative activities, including hartal, will have a negative impact on the country’s economy and image; and discourage foreign investment,” said theapex trade body in a statement. It said, a business and investment-friendly environment is now prevailing in the country and many countries, including Japan and China, are showing interest to invest in Bangladesh.The trade body, however, urged the government to arrest the killers of Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqui without any delay and ensure their punishment.
