With Fani gone, mercury goes up again

Temperature of the country increased again with the departure of the cyclone Fani.
According to Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Sunday, the temperature increased 6.2 degree in Dhaka reaching 33.9 Degree on the day.
The highest temperature was 36.5 degree Celsius at Mongla on the day, said Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid to The New Nation.
He said, earlier the Met office forecast that temperature would increase by two to five degree Celsius at daytime and one to three degree Celsius at night but the temperature rose more than the forecast.
Met office forecast that the maximum temperature was likely to reach 32 degree Celsius in Dhaka division on the day.
It said, following the heavy rains influenced by the severe cyclonic storm Fani, temperature all over the country dipped.
The cyclone entered Bangladesh at a speed of 50-60kmph, and took around 10 hours to cross the country via Khulna and Rajshahi regions before heading towards India’s Assam.
