Winter vegetables’ price declines in Narsingdi markets

The prices of vegetables including tomato, cauliflower, bean and gourd have declined in Narsingdi markets while the newly harvested potato is sold at a higher price.
The prices of different kinds of rice, vegetable and sugar went down further while those of branded soybean oil and spices remained unchanged in the Narsingdi kitchen markets.
When asked about low price of vegetable in the market, a trader of the Narsingdi Bazar told the new nation that the prices of the winter vegetable went down on adequate supply.
In most of the markets here, old-harvested potato was sold at Tk. 15 per kg while newly harvested potato was sold at Tk. 25 per kg.
Tomato was sold at Tk 30 a kg, patal at Tk 50 per kg, brinjal at Tk. 25 lady’s finger at Tk 60, spinach at Tk 20, red spinach (Lal shaks) at Tk 30, korola at Tk 60, green banana at Tk.15 per hali (4 pieces), cauliflower at Tk 5-10 per piece, Bean Tk 20 to 30 per kg, gourd at Tk. 30-35 per piece and green chili at Tk 40 per kg.
In Narsingdi different kitchen markets Friday, coarse rice was sold between Tk 28 and a kg while Najirshail at Tk 50 paijam at Tk 34 Kataribhogh at Tk 70-80 and Irri at Tk 28. In the Narsingdi Kitcken market it was observered that the supply of fish items was adequate, But prices of all varieties of fishes were much higher.
