Winning start for Ctg Abahani

Chittagong Abahani Limited got off to a winning start in the TVS Bangladesh Premier League Football when they came from behind defeated old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 2-1 goals held on Saturday at Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
In the day’s match, Nigerian forward Peter Ebimobowei and striker Rubel Miya scored one goal each for Chittagong Abahani Limited who trailed the first half by 0-1 goal. Nigerian Ghanaian striker Philip Adjah netted one goal for Rahmatganj MFS.
Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society, who showed quality football in the Federation Cup by reaching the final stage, had to wait few minutes to take the lead just after starting the play. Philip Adjaeegh put the first blood giving Rahmatganj a deserving lead in the very 4th minute of the match.
The traditional outfight were playing neck to neck with Chittagong Abahani by maintaining their lead till the breather.
After the lemon break, Chittagong Abahani Limited however came to the field with more organised way and got the reap when Peter Ebimobowei equalized the margin in the 53rd minute.
Rubel Miya sealed the victory scoring the second goal for Chittagong Abahani in the 72nd minute of the match.
Rahmatganj MFS tried heart and soul to stage a fight back but could not convert any in the remaining proceeding.
The port city team Chittagong Abahani Limited dominated the proceeding, especially in the second half, and notched their deserving victory on the day while Rahmatganj MFS though they played good football in the first half, but they could not keep the tempo in the second half resulting they lost the match despite taking early lead.
