Opinion: Will Ukraine crisis blare further?

M Khaled :
The world once again hovers on the thread of the nuclear war. The fall of the pro-Moscow government in Ukraine has installed a pro-west government in the former Soviet republic that has verily tarnished the image of Kremlin.
In 1962, the world almost reached the point of the nuclear war over Soviet missiles in Cuba, a country just 90 miles from the USA. The world’s two most powerful countries the USA and the Soviet Union stood face to face and the world forgot to breathe. However, Soviet Premier Krushchev watered the leeway of nuclear holocaust by withdrawing missiles from Cuba.
The world two more times reached the doors of nuclear wars-in 1973 and 1976. But on both occasions, late realisations saved the world.
The crisis in Ukraine intensified when the Russian Federation’s President Putin, a former KGB chief, ordered occupation of Crimea, a Ukraine region in the east and declared that Moscow reserved the rights to protect its interests and its citizens there.
On the other hand, US President Obama warned Moscow of dire consequence in the event of invasion of Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Russian government has ordered withdrawal of Ukraine Navy from Crimea or to face attack.
We cannot say what will happen if the USA and Russia remain stick to their own decisions.
There is no doubt that Russia has more nuclear war heads than the USA and its Armed Forces are capable of striking the NATO member-countries to inflict irreparable losses of lives and properties. At the same time, Russia also cannot repulse the NATO’s nuclear attack and the consequence thereof is easily understandable. In this connection, it is hard to read the Chinese role because Beijing issues statements only on every international crisis and will not take the risk of losing one trillion dollar, which the Chinese government loaned to the US government.
The western countries threatened of economic sanction against Moscow. They did it against Iran over Uranium enrichment issue. But the UNO can’t do it because Russia has veto power.
In this regard, we like to say that the USA, France and the UK interfere into the internal affairs of every country, but not there where they have no interest, even if a ethnic group is annihilated.
They do not force the Indian, the Chinese and the Myanmar governments to stop killing of Muslims. They rather provoked civil war in Syria, shut eyes to the killings of Egyptians in Egypt and gave birth the Ukraine crisis.
