WiFi zone introduced at DU Madhu’s Canteen

A WiFi zone has been introduced at the Madhu’s Canteen on Dhaka University (DU) campus on Saturday.WiFi is a local area wireless technology that allows an electronic device to exchange data or connect to the internet.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak launched the wi-fi service at the Madhu’s Canteen.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique was present on the occasion.
Palak said wi-fi zone will be introduced at all public universities as part of the implementation of the information technology project. Earlier, at a press conference at DU Teacher-Student Centre, Palak told reporters that two-day 3rd IT Fest will begin on DU campus on Sunday.
DU Information Technology Society and ICT Division will jointly organize the programme.
Some 1,500 students and teachers from 70 educational institutions will take part in the festival.
The festival will feature seminars, workshop and business idea competition.
