Despite double warrants of arrest against a police constable ,law enforcers are allegedly avoiding arrest of him but the accused husband is threatening her to withdraw the case again and again.
Shamima Yasmeen Shelli , wife of the accused police constable Didarul Islam disclosed it at a press meet held at Chittagong Press Club conference hall on Tuesday .
Shamima Yasmeen read out a written statement before the journalists . The written statement was told that police constable DidarulAlam married Shamima in 2010 impersonating himself as a Sub Inspector of police and they had a four years old son. She said after her marriage, husband Didarul Alam pressed her to bring money from her father and accordingly Didar received Tk.3 lakh from her father as dower.
The money was taken with lame excuse of his promotion purpose.Unscrupulous husband again pressing her to bring money from her father again and again and lastly hapless Shamima driven out from his house demanding dowery money. Finding no alternatives, Shamima lodged a suit under Dowery Control Act before the Chittagong CMM court on July 13 , 2014 and another case lodged with the Judicial Magistrate court of Cox’sBazar under Women Child Repression Act on July 15 last . In both the case, arrest warrant issued against the police constable Didarul Islam separately but the law enforcing members did not apprehend him, the press meet was told. Mentionable that Didarul Islam is now posted in Chittagong Police Commissioner office as constable, the written statement said.
Shamima in his written statement urged upon the concerned authorities to apprehend him for exemplary punishment for his misdeed with the repression and dowry act.
