A man was allegedly killed by her wife in a five-storied building in the city’s Malibagh area on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Wahidul Islam alias Swapan, 60, residence of Malibagh.
Police also detained the alleged killer, Mousumi Islam, 52, police said.
Shahjadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqur Rahman said, “Mousumi killed her husband Swapan at House No 22 in Malibagh over drug taking and landed properties.”
Police primarily suspected that both husband and wife were drug addicted, the police official said.
The cop members recovered the body receiving information and sent to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), the OC said.
“We have detained Mousumi for interrogation in this connection,” he said.
Police are investigating the incident, the police official said.
