Shakib Alam Mishu, who killed his wife through a fabricated accident yesterday made confession to admitting his involvement in a Dhaka court.
Magistrate Moinul Islam of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka recorded the confessional statement of the accused husband.
Earlier, after two terms of remand, Investigation Officer of the case, and Gulshan Police Station SI Ferdous Alam Sarker produced Mishu in the court to record his voluntary confessional statement.
After recording the voluntary statement, the court sent the accused to the jail.
On April 4, accused Mishu was placed on a four-day remand and on April 8 he was placed on a two-day fresh remand to quiz him about the murder of his wife.
Meanwhile, victim Hasna Jhilik’s father-in-law Zahangir Alam, mother-in-law Sayeda Alam, brothers-in-law (husband’s brother) Fahim Alam and Tuktuki are behind the bar in the murder case.
On April 3, house-wife Hasna Hena Jhilik was killed. Later, the accused people, took the victim’s body to Hatirjhil area and Mishu created an accident in which Jhilik was shown killed.
The victim’s mother Tahmina Hossain Asma filed the murder case with Gulshan Police Station in connection with the incident.
