Lucky Begum (25), mother of 2 children and a housewife of village Uttar Amragachia village within Khontakata Union under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district was brutally murdered by her husband Nurul Amin in the early hours of Thursday, according to a report received here.
Lucky was the daughter of one Khalil Hawladar of village Kalikabari under the Upazila and the killer husband is the son of one Abdul Haq Chowkidar of village Uttar Amragachia. In this connection a murder case was registered with Sharankhola PS. After the incident husband fled away accompanied by his 2 children.
It is learnt from the police and the locals that a bad relation had been prevailing between the husband and the wife for long. At the night (at about 4 am) husband Nirul Amin told Nurul Islam, brother of Lucky over mobile phone, Lucky was seriously ill.
