Police detained wife after hand-leg tied dead body of Imran Haoladar recovered from his bedroom at Poshchim Vatshala village under Faridpur union in Bakerganj upazila yesterday morning.
Azizur Rahman, officer in charge of Bakerganj PS, told Imran, 23, was son of Selim Haoladar of the same village.
His wife Tuli Begum, 18, was detained by police in connection of killing Imran.
The recovered dead body sent to Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy and preparation of lodging case was under process till this report, the OC of Bakerganj PS added.
Md. Azad, member of Faridpur union parishad, said Imran and Tuli, daughter of Amir Hossain of Kabai union of the same upazila, became married about one year ago and went Dhaka.
Some days ago Imran returned to his village home with wife and Tuli went to her paternal home following quarrel with husband.
Tuesday night came to her husband’s house and again engaged in quarrel at night.
On Wednesday morning Tuli informed her mother in law that some body killed her husband at night.
Then people seeing hand-leg tied dead body of Imran, informed police, the UP member told.
