A young bride named Muskan (16) has been beaten to death for poisoning at Solposapila village under Pagla Thana in Gafargaon Upazila under Mymensingh Thana on Sunday night..
The deceased was identified as Muskan, a student of class eight of Abul Hasem Khan High School under Pagla Thana .
It is learnt that Muskan, a daughter of Doulatgiringi of Terkhadia village at Bagmara Upazila under Rajshahi District was living her grandfather’s house . While she was in class eight, she fell in love with Masum Billah a son of late Mojibur Rahman in the same village. Masum Billah married Muskan in 2017 with family consent. As soon as the marriage goes away, the quarrelling appears between them. The deceased’s aunti alleged that Masum Billah tortured physically and mentally Muskan for dowry very often after their marriage. Masul beat her mercilessly on that night for dowry. As a result, Muskan became senseless and at one point they poured poison into her mouth.
She was taken to Upazila Health complex first. After that she was taken to Mymensingh Medical college hospital. There doctors on duty declared her dead.
