A widowed (32) of Bara Saynayasi Fultala-Para area within Mallikerber Union under Rampal Upazila in the district was allegedly kidnapped by some miscreants who gang raped her on a boat in the village Kumarkhali under the same Upazila on Thursday night.
As a result, she lost her sense and fell ill seriously. She was confined in a house of the same village from where she was recovered by the police with help of some locals on Tuesday at night. She was admitted to Bagearhat Sadar Hospital on Wednesday. In this connection a case was lodged with Rampal PS by her brother-in-law against unidentified 4 miscreants at the same night (Tuesday) under Women And Children Repression Act. Nobody was arrested in this connection till the writing of this report.
Victim said that on Thursday (March 12) night she and her brother-in-law went to the adjacent village Dakra within Perikhali Union under the same Upazila to attend a religious (Nam Jagnma) function.
