Actress Vidya Balan, who will be seen portraying Kamala Das, says the Indian-English writer was very progressive and she agreed to do this biopic because she wants to know her as a person.
“Kamala was very progressive, she was very strong. I loved the script (of the film) the minute I read it. I agreed to do this biopic because I want to know her as a person. She is a very unique person and I just want to know her better,” Vidya said.
The actress, who has delivered impressive performances in films like The Dirty Picture and Kahaani, says she doesn’t pay heed to people’s opinion about her as it affects her.
