Anumita Dasgupta’s Bohomaan which released on November 29 deals with love, relationships and friendships and it relates to everyone’s story. That’s why Aparna Sen gave her nod to the film which also sees the actor-filmmaker sharing the screen with Soumitra Chatterjee yet again.
In the film, she plays Madhuri who has reunited with her lost love Salim Khan (Soumitra Chatterjee) after years of separation.
“To some extent, persuasion. It was Sohag Sen who introduced me to filmmaker Anumita Dasgupta and she said she couldn’t make this film without me. I wasn’t keen initially since I needed time to read and think for my directorial work. First, I didn’t like the script that much, but then it was developed further and turned out nicer. There was a certain contemporaneity about the script and it delved into rather complex psychology, which I liked,” revealed Aparna Sen when asked why she said yes to Bohomaan.
Bohomaan also stars Bratya Basu, Arpita Chatterjee and Sohag Sen in pivotal roles. Bohomaan is the story of two lovers crossing each other’s path after ages.
The story sees Madhuri (Aparna Sen) meeting Salim Khan (Soumitra Chatterjee) after a long gap, still dealing with the agony of that separation.
