James Rodriguez of Colombia, Thomas Muller of Germany, Lionel Messi of Argentina, Neymar of Brazil and Ariel Robben of Netherlands are in the race of golden boot.

Thomas Muller scored five goals in six matches. Besides, He hit a hat-trick against Portugal in this edition of World Cup. If Muller scored against Argentina in the final, Muller will be the highest scorer of the meet.
Lionel Messi scored four goals in six matches. He failed to score any goal in the semi-final against Netherlands but earlier, in every match of this World Cup, he netted a goal. Messi have to score two goals in the final against Germany to clinch the golden boot.
Neymar scored four goals in five matches. This promising footballer could not play in the semi-final due to injury. Injured Neymar also could not take part in the place-deciding match.
Ariel Robben scored four goals in six matches. His hope is alive as he has a chance to play against Brazil in a place-deciding match. If Robben can score two goals in the place-deciding match, Robben will be another contender of golden boot.
